About Something Sweet Bakery – Art You Can Eat
Something Sweet Bakery is a full service cakery boutique that specializes in custom cake designs and custom cake flavors for all occasions, as well as a wide variety gourmet cupcakes, cookies, pastries, candies and other sweet treats. Opened in January 2011 by Desta Stenson, Something Sweet Bakery owes its success to the faithful local customers and amazing wedding and event venues. As a native of the area, Desta is proud to have Something Sweet Bakery in the heart of Historical Old Town Galt.

Desta initially developed her baking and artistic skills with her grandmother for family and friends. Starting a small cake boutique “Heart’s Desire Cake Design”. Popularity grew quickly necessitated the expansion of her business into a storefront location currently known as SOMETHING SWEET BAKERY. Desta is self taught and enjoys expressing her love for art in the designs she creates for her customers enjoyment. She takes great pride in providing a beautiful yet flavorful piece of “Art You Can Eat”.
